By accessing and using Greenwich Tunnel Lifts ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Greenwich Tunnel Lifts is a community-powered platform that provides real-time information about the operational status of elevators at the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Users can submit status reports and view current lift conditions to help with their journey planning.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information about lift status
• Submit reports more frequently than allowed (one per location per 30 minutes)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated systems to submit reports
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

User Responsibilities

• Accurate reporting: Submit honest and accurate lift status reports
• Rate limiting: Respect the 30-minute limit between reports for the same location
• Account security: Keep your account credentials secure

Account Registration

• You must register with a valid Google/Apple account to use the Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

Content and Reports

By submitting lift status reports, you:

• Grant us a license to display and distribute your reports publicly
• Confirm that your reports are accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Understand that reports are visible to all users of the Service
• Agree not to submit reports that are intentionally false or misleading

Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

• Remove or modify reports that violate these Terms
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Ban users from submitting reports if they abuse the system
• Implement additional rate limiting or restrictions as needed

Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
• We are not responsible for any travel delays or inconveniences
• The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greenwich Tunnel Lifts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Greenwich Tunnel Lifts and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.

Privacy

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
